Shrines are complex labyrinths that can be tricky to complete, and always require puzzle-solving with a specific type of rune. Once you reach this shrine, however, finding the boss is rather easy. Things have changed in Breath of the Wild. Location: Shrine Keh Namut is located in the Western area of the Great Plateau, up at the top of Mount Hylia, just South of where Hylia River flows into a waterfall leaving the plateau. Since the beginning, dungeons were the nexus for Legend of Zelda’s true challenges. Location: Northern Akkala, northwest portion of Deep Akkala at Skull Lake. Mastering the runes (and their powers) is key to completing the shrine challenges. Typically, you’ll gain a new rune for your Sheikah Slate. The “dungeons” of Breath of the Wild are called Shrines. This is your very first step into a wider Hyrule. Finishing all four shrines provides link with runes, and an item to escape the plateau.
